The steps at a glance

  1. Create your free account

Go to app.gotinyurl.com/register, enter your name, email and a password. No card is needed.

  2. Shorten your first link

In the dashboard choose Links, then Create, and paste a long URL. Type a back-half or keep the random one.

  3. Make a QR code for it

Open QR codes, choose the URL type, paste the short link and style the code. Download it.

  4. Build a bio page

Create a biolink page, add a few link blocks and your socials, and copy its address into your profiles.

  5. Check your statistics

Open any link and choose Statistics to see clicks by time, country, device and referrer.

This guide takes you from no account to a working short link, QR code and bio page. Everything here works on the free plan.

1. Create your account

Open app.gotinyurl.com/register, enter your name, email and a password, and you are in. If you bought a plan on this site, skip this step: your account already exists, and the thank-you page gave you a one-time login link.

In the dashboard, open Links and create a new link. Paste the long URL. You can keep the random back-half or type your own, such as spring-sale. Optional extras sit under the link’s settings: UTM tags, a password, an expiry date, targeting rules and pixels. See short links for what each does.

3. Turn it into a QR code

Open QR codes, choose the URL type and paste your short link. Pick colours, dot and eye styles, add a logo and a frame if you like, and download the file. Because the code points at your short link, you can change the destination later without reprinting. Before printing, run through the QR code checklist.

4. Build a bio page

Create a biolink page with the name you want, for example gotinyurl.com/yourname. Add blocks: links, socials, a YouTube video, an email collector. Choose a theme. Copy the page address into your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube profile. Our link in bio ideas post has a starter layout.

5. Read your statistics

Open any link or bio page and choose Statistics. You will see clicks over time and broken down by country, city, device, browser, operating system, language and referrer. Bots and link-preview crawlers are left out by default. Export the data as CSV, JSON or PDF.
