TheBigBot LLC respects intellectual property rights and expects GoTinyURL users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
What we can act on
- Files uploaded to GoTinyURL (file links, static sites, images on bio pages).
- Bio page content hosted by us.
- Short links that point to infringing material: we can disable the link, though the material itself is hosted elsewhere and must also be reported to that host.
How to send a notice
Send the following through the contact page (topic: Report abuse or a malicious link) or to the abuse email below:
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
- The GoTinyURL link or page where the material appears.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice with your contact details, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the US, any judicial district in which we may be found), and your signature. We may restore the material after 10 business days unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
Misuse
Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can create legal liability. If you are unsure whether material infringes, get legal advice first.
